As the year 2020 progresses, we are baking a lot more with our kids. Itโs a fun activity that keep the whole family occupied. I have a whole recipe collection of easy baking recipes for kids!
In my opinion, baking requires low-level math skills and fine motor skills for kids. My daughter is 5, and can crack an egg like nobodyโs business. As for my youngest, heโs content to take the cupcake liners in and out of the cupcake pan repeatedly.
In short, everyone is happy the entire time it takes to bake a small batch cupcake recipe. We enjoy our frosted cupcakes during the โwitching hourโ on the porch, and as such, we no longer call it the witching hour. We call it sweet treat time while we rock in the rocking chairs and watch the mail lady make her rounds. Everyone is happy while we eat, well, except for my youngest who is not allowed to have sugar at his age. Heโs content with a jar of sprinkles to shake, however.

Iโve found that you donโt lose their attention as easily, plus thereโs only one round of things to bake in the oven instead of Mom finishing scooping the 4th dozen of cookies.
The lack of leftovers when baking small batch cupcakes is just icing on the cupcake. Now, we can bake a new batch every day!

All of these recipes make a small batch of 4 to 6 cupcakes!
The few recipes I looked at didnโt indicate what size cupcakes these make. It almost looks like you are using large/jumbo size cupcake pans. Is that why you say they make 4 to 6 cupcakes? Because it depends on the size you make. That would also affect the baking time.
Theyโre all baked in regular muffin/ cupcake pans. Each individual recipe card has the number of cupcakes they make.
