Cookie dough dip for one! Creamy, delicious, edible chocolateย chip cookie dough for one or two people to enjoy in an instant! Serve with sweet and salty items for dunking!

Iโm not proud of my snacking behavior this week.
My New Yearโs resolution was to stopย skipping breakfast, and unless you count milky tea, I have definitely broken my resolution. There was the morning I had 3 dates for breakfast (dates, as in the dried fruit, not awkward meet-ups). The next morning, one slice of melting sweet potatoes. And Iโm afraid I sunk as low asย leftover cold tater tots yesterday morning.
And as the saying goes, if you skip breakfast, your eating habits quickly decline for the rest of the day as well. While I should probably be more concerned, I just canโt because this delicious, creamy edible cookie dough dip is the result of some wayward sliding eating habits.
It is so very good and worth all the things. Thisย edible cookie dough for one is the happy result. Itโs meant for dipping and eating raw.

This Cookie Dough Dip Recipe is Irresistable
I need to know: whatโs your cookie dough behavior? When you make chocolate chip cookies, what ratio of dough actually makes it into the oven? Iโm afraid Iโm good for about one cookieโs worth of dough on my spoon, raw. I lack the patience to wait for the warm cookiesย to come out of the oven. Plus,ย cold creamy cookie dough is pure comfort for me.
This dip has all the lovely components of cookie dough, but a bit softer and more dip-able! You can dip pretzels for that sweet-salty thang, or you can dip vanillaย wafers. I switch offโone pretzel, one cookie, and then suddenly, the whole ramekin is gone.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip Ingredients

- Unsalted butter โ If you only have salted butter, thatโs fine, tooโjust omit the salt called for in the recipe.
- Cream cheese โ Take this out of the fridge and let it soften on the counter for 30 minutes.
- Granulated sugar โ To make it sweet, of course!
- Brown sugar โ Light or dark brown sugar both work here.
- Vanilla extract โ For that classic chocolate chip cookie flavor
- Salt โ Donโt underestimate how important this salt is for balance.
- Mini Chocolate Chips โ Just 2 tablespoons of mini chocolate chips. If you donโt have mini chocolate chips, you can chop up a chocolate bar.
I had a cookie dough craving, and I solved it without eating a ton of cookie dough. And for that, I should get a medal, donโt you think? I hope this helps you cure a craving!
This recipe makes one small bowl of edible cookie dough dip for one. For those of us that cannot be trusted around cookie dough, small batch treats are a gift. If youโre looking for the baked variety, try my chocolate chip cookies without eggs.
How to Make Cookie Dough Dip
Make sure the butter and cream cheese are softened to room temperature so that everything mixes together smoothly.

- Beat all of the ingredients together except for the mini chocolate chips.
2. Stir in the mini chocolate chips by hand. Pile the dough into a small bowl, and serve with salty and sweet dippers.
Serving Cookie dip
You should serve this with whatever you like to dip! My favorite is salty pretzels because I love the salty and sweet combination! I also like to dip vanilla wafers, sugar crisp wafers, dried banana chips, sugar cookies, and of course, crispy chocolate chip cookies! I actually think you havenโt lived unless youโve spread cookie dough dip between two crispy chocolate chip cookies, and eaten it like a sweet sandwich.

And yes,ย if youโre a better person than me, you can easily double this recipe and share it with someone on the couch during a Netflix marathon.
I just donโt have it in me to share this; itโs really meant for oneโsorry!
Donโt skip breakfast, or youโll end up like me, with a plate full of dip and dippers. Well, maybe you wanna be a little like me? :)

If you try this recipe, please come back to share using my 5 star rating in the recipe card below. Not only do I appreciate it, but I know other readers do, too.

You were in Parade magazine! Congratulations! I enjoy your blog and just ordered the new book! Thank you for all of the wonderful recipes!
Thank you so much, Susan :)
Oh my God YAY. I just found out I have a gluten allergy so this will satisfy my inability to eat actual chocolate chip cookies.
Now we need the vanilla wafer recipe.
Have never heard of a raw cookie dough medical emergency, like is it real? I can just keep eating cookie dough in peace, right? Made slutty brownies over the holidays; raw cookie dough + raw brownie batter = no self control. Like maybe, thereโs a big raw brownie batter issue in our house and we ate a scoop with ice cream. Good news? No food poisoning!
Cookie dough dip โ YES PLEASE!!
Why does the calorie count for this say 52 calories while a commenter above pointed out itโs actually over 900 calories? I entered the ingredients myself into a calculator and got 961 calories.
To pre-empt any snark, I donโt come here for health food but thatโs just incorrect information.
I know this is an old post but this makes me wary of any of the other calorie counts on your blog :(
Hi Amy :)
In the 10 years Iโve run this blog, Iโve used 2 different calorie counter plugins. Unfortunately, Iโm at their mercy for accuracy. The first plugin went out of businesses and I lost all of my dataโฆI had to go back and manually enter posts from the first 5 years (oh, the joys of running an entirely free website!) I donโt have time to do the calculations myself, and 97% of the time, the calculations through these plugins are correct.
Iโm just guessing here, but I believe that certain ingredients and measurements throw off the calculator. Especially when I say โa pinch,โ or โ1/8 teaspoon,โ or โ1/4 + 1/3 cup.โ In this recipe, I believe mini chocolate chips isnโt in the database, and so itโs taking it as โchocolate.โ This is just my best guess.
If I were you, I would report all complaints to the recipe calculators. Believe me, Iโd love to remove nutrition info from my site because I think itโs mostly useless, and like you, I donโt visit a dessert blog for health (hah!). The reason I keep it active is because google prefers this for their database. The more info a recipe provides, the more likely my recipes are to show up in google search results, which is how I make money running a free site.
961 calories sounds high, but let me search for a free one online and see what I come up withโฆ.hold please :)
Thank you so much for the considered reply, I appreciate the in-depth explanation and it makes sense now knowing that itโs a plug-in.
Just wanted to add that I love your blog, and have since I came across your first cookbook a few years ago! I always cut recipes in half so itโs awesome being able to make stuff from your site without having to make any edits or have a freezer overstuffed with cookie dough. Your muffin recipes have been go-toโs during this lockdown!
Yup, this recipe is definitely over 900 calories (I got about 915 using WebMDโs calorie estimates) not including dippers. But, as you said, no one comes to a dessert website for HEALTHY options. I mean, itโs a dip made of butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Common sense should tell someone not to eat it every day for breakfast.
Hi! Just wondering if you think this would make a good filling between cake layers? I am thinking of making a 3 tier 8-inch cake for an upcoming birthday and think edible โcookie doughโ would be DELICIOUS since the birthday guy loves cookie dough. What are your thoughts and how much of this cookie dough dip should I make for the 3 tier filling? Thank you so much :)
Oh I gotcha girl! I have a cookie dough layer cake recipe here: https://www.dessertfortwo.com/cookie-dough-cake/
I love this recipe. Itโs so good with pretzels, graham crackers or just a spoon. Thank you so much!
Christina,
I made this last night, somehow I was smell cookie dough all day and it made me want to make some up to eat! I served this with pretzels, graham crackers, strawberries and animal crackers and my husband and I watched the OC on HBO max and we polished it off! Great dish!
This dip hits the spot, every single time. Iโve had a deep sweets craving for days and nothing was satisfying it. I finally remembered this dip and oh my goodness, so freaking good.
