- Read the recipe fully to see the size of crockpot recommended. Typically, I use a 6-quart slow cooker, which is technically full-size, but is on the smaller size. The 4 quart models can be very hard to find.
- Please note that small batch crockpot recipes cook much faster than regular crockpot recipes. It’s probably not going to be possible to start your slow cooker in the morning and then leave for work for 10+ hours. Follow the recommended cooking time closely.
- If a package of meat comes with more than the recipe calls for, wrap up the excess and freeze it for a future meal.
