I also don’t have a frother, so I tried to manually hand froth mine with a whisk. I couldn’t get mine to froth, but it was still a very yummy drink.

But Stash tea has a blend called “Breakfast in Paris” which is black tea, vanilla and lavender, that makes a killer London Fog, especially if you use vanilla almond milk. I make it by the carafe in winter. You should try it cold, too. I make it by the pitcher in the summertime — five teabags and a cup of vanilla almond milk. Super nums.!

However. I add vanilla extract instead of sugar–less calories than vanilla syrup (I think!?) but I add whipped cream. Quit drinking espresso lattes after I started making these. Yum yum

Hah, I love that, Catherine! I’d love to be the lady behind you in line who says ‘I’ll have what she’s having’ :)

I need a frother in my life to make these at home, you’re very right.

I have mine with soy milk and one pump of vanilla syrup – agreed, I’ve tried it without the sugar and it doesn’t work. Even though I don’t take sugar in my tea or coffe, with London fog, I do : )

Great post!

Except London Fogs use vanilla syrup for their sweetness. And believe me – it is SO much better!
You can buy the syrup in tons of cafes and online, one popular brand is Torani (in Canada, at least) and you can ask your local cafe which brand they carry. It’ll make a WORLD of a difference to your London Fog.

For some strange reason, I have never made myself one at home. Which is kind of ridiculous, considering I always have earl grey tea and I own a milk frother. Uh oh…you may have just turned me on to a new habit…

I thought I’d found heaven when I tasted Costa’s gingerbread latte – but this?! Ahhhhh <3 xo

I use mine to make at-home lattes all the time! I’ve never had a tea latte, but I regularly drink tea AND lattes so this will be a fun adaptation of both.
