And luckily I ran out of powder sugar so for the top I only used 2.5 cups. It was still pretty sweet… I really can’t imagine using the full amount of sugar. I cooked for 45 mins but by then the bottom was a little over cooked. Next time I’ll reduce the sugar even more and pull it out of the oven sooner.

I grew up helping my Mom cook for an army of 8 kids; then raised my own family. Now it is just me and it is really hard to down-size and cook for just one or two. As you can imagine, I eat a lot of left overs.. Looking forward to receiving more recipes from you. Just want to share this true story about my Mom: For potluck dinners at our church, the Pastor tells everyone “to bring a large pot except Ms. June.” If Mom brings a large pot – to this day – it is a stock pot! A medium pot for her is a dutch oven.
