Pre-made pie crust is amazing! I’m so glad you enjoyed them :)

The filling recipe was easy and the hand pies were DELICIOUS! I promise to try your pie crust recipe next time.

Must use a slotted spoon when putting the filling in as there was too much liquid. They were very tasty dipped in whipped cream!

That’s what I was thinking! Yikes! Surely, it’s a mistake?

A whole day’s worth of calories in one hand pie?!?! Great recipe; We love hand pies!

This dough was so easy to make and roll. Of all I’ve tried (and I’ve been trying) this was the easiest one overall. I’m anxious to try it out as the hand pies are cooking as I write this out. Thanks so much for this recipe, I know it’s going to be a hit with my family.

*** I followed the directions as written and everything came together perfectly. The only exception was, I didn’t have coarse sugar to sprinkle on top, but I don’t think that will make much a difference :) ***

Hmm…they get a little soggy as they sit, because the fruit has sugar and it softens and seeps through the crust :( I wouldn’t make them the day before…if you have to, let them sit at room temperature, and then reheat in a toaster oven to crisp them back up.

If so, what’s the recommendation for storing them and the recommendation for eating the next day? Should you pop them back in the oven? Microwave?

Asking just in case I can’t make them the day of.

Hi Nick!
Honestly, pie crust softens so much when stored, no matter how its stored. Your best bet is to store them uncovered at room temp and then pop in the toaster oven before serving to crisp them up :)

Would it be best to store in an airtight container in the fridge or room temp?

They look delicious, and I have a ton of fresh blueberries to eat up!

Freeze them unbaked, and then bake them from frozen, adding a few extra minutes.
