I didn’t notice Christina said to sprinkle salt on at the end so I mixed it in with the chocolate chips. The salt really adds to the flavor, so don’t leave it out!

I couldn’t wait two hours so I waited two minutes to cut them, close enough! Soo good and will definitely make again.

It was delicious! Satisfied my sweet tooth without being overly sweet due to the cocoa powder and I did not have any chocolate chips.

was not even that huge of a fan of them but these are amazing! I don’t think I
can every buy them again, after seeing how delicious these are.

Hi!
Have you tried a batch without the chocolate chips? I am looking at options to bring down the sweetness level.
Thanks!

Gooey, chocolate, crunchy, and chewy. I didn’t know when to take them of the heat, but I did that before stirring in the rice cereal and it worked. Next time I will make these in a larger pan so that they’re a bit thinner and easier for little hands and mouths. This is a keeper.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed them but it is very dark chocolate flavored and not for everyone. I often find a recipe that I like and then play with it but I always give credit to the original recipe because I can’t do anything without learning the recipe first! Thanks for the recipe and getting my creativity going!

For those asking about cocoa krispies, I used Mom’s Best brand cocoa krispies that taste like pure sugar, not chocolatey. So I had to use the chocolate mentioned in this recipe. I just halved the recommended cocoa and used 1 hershey chocolate bar crushed. I also microwaved the marshmallow mixture in 30 second increments, mixing in between incremental, then added the cocoa and chocolate at the end and it melted right in. These are chewy and not rock hard. Just keep spraying your hands or mixing spoon with oil to help bring it all together. It’s super sticky. I also used a piece of sprayed parchment paper to pat the mixture into an 8 x 8 pan. Maybe if you cram it in too tightness, that would make it rock hard?
Thesee were perfect. My guess is the issues with people’s results is operator error.

She had mentioned the video was for a loaf pan and the recipe was showing a 9×9 or something. So it depends which size, I believe. However, I just want to add the whole bag of chocolate 😋 I read all the comments too, but my brain can’t process it all. I need chocolate in my life. I am definitely trying with chocolate krispies!!

Have a great day and stay well 😷]]> Hi! I haven’t tried your recipe yet as I just found it. I have read all the comments before posting mine to see if it had been answered. I’m surprised no one else has this question. Your video refers to using a heaping 1/4 cup of chocolate chips where the printed recipe specifies 1/2 cup. Which is it? Could this possibly be why some people report them being so hard? More like a candy bar…hmm, nothing wrong with that though! 🤣 I have never used a recipe but just added some semi sweet chocolate chips to my marshmallow mixture with a little extra butter (1 T) to compensate. Have a great day and stay well 😷

Absolutely correct, Joanne. I’m sorry about the confusion! I usually make my videos months (or sometimes years) after I post the recipe, and I’ve found that most people make this recipe small batch in a loaf pan, so that’s why I did the video that way. But yes, the recipe card in the post is for the 8×8″ pan, but the video shows a 9″ bread loaf pan of treats. Thanks for catching this :)

A bit confused at first when I was double checking the ingredient list.

I was I complete heaven my first and only time just a few weeks ago. My future ex-boyfriend just pulled out of the driveway. I looked up this recipe so I could insure he’d definitely bring back something wrong. Got to love a Narcissist.
