I wonder if this could be made with Club crackers?

Just made this this morning for a New Year’s Day party we’re going to. So yummy, so easy and so QUICK to make. with ingredients I already had on hand, I think I’ll be making this MUCH more often 😊 (I do make a more traditional English toffee at the holidays but did not this year, and I may not ever again after making this. It’s a perfect treat for Passover, but non-kosher for Passover matzoh is also sold year-round.

I omit the chocolate because I’m not a huge fan. I know — weird!

I mix equal parts butter and brown sugar and spread it over the crackers and bake it at 400˚F for 4-5 minutes.

I am so glad you shared it on Facebook. I had to give away half the batch just so that I wouldn’t eat ALL of it. Even my dessert adverse hubby (more for me, right?) loved it. Super simple recipe that I will definitely be making over and over again.

Graham crackers work just fine. My family is divided between Saltines and graham crackers so I usually make two sheet pans of the candy. I don’t have to eat too much of it; I just plan on making it when my boys are hanging out with friends. By the way, I know it as “Christmas Crack”.

But with everything people say about it being crack toffee… I know I’d inhale the whole batch in less time than it took to make it. I have no self control around salty-sweet treats, especially when chocolate is involved! ;) Pinned!

Oh great — now I feel compelled to go home and make some. You clearly are a BAAAAAD influence!!

For sure. I has to be. I might make this when my family is here for Christmas. I can totally see my mom, sister-in-law, and myself killing a pan of this.
